On April 13, 1965, the Grammy Award for Record of the Year went to Astrud Gilberto & Stan Getz for "The Girl from Ipanema.”
Ipanema… Lymphedema…
Although lymphedema can be a serious issue for those in the breast cancer community, the playful part of my brain couldn’t get away from the rhyme.
Fifty-nine years have passed since they won that award. With this parody, I’m not looking for my own Grammy; I just hope to make you smile.
